(CHAPEL HILL, N.C.) -- Senior forward Mason Plumlee scored 23 points and pulled down 13 rebounds as (3) Duke (27-4, 14-4 ACC) took care of North Carolina (22-9, 12-6 ACC) Saturday night, 69-53.
The Blue Devils opened the game on a 14-0 run behind 7 points from senior guard Seth Curry. He would go on to make his first seven shot attempts as he finished the game with 20 points.
“We defended well and didn’t give up a lot of second shots,” Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski said. “Seth’s (Curry) performance in the first half, he was just the best player on the court.”
Sophomore forward James Michael McAdoo led the way for the Tar Heels with 15 points while sophomore guard P.J. Hairston added 14.
