(NEW YORK) -- The New York Knicks turned up the intensity to beat the Philadelphia 76ers.
Amare Stoudemire scored 22 points to help the Knicks end a four-game losing streak by beating the Philadelphia 76ers, 99-93.
"Losing games, games we think we're supposed to win, you come into a game like this, we want to win," Carmelo Anthony said. "Definitely want to be a very high-intensity game, a very high-energetic game back here on our home court and we didn't want to lose this game."
Anthony scored 29 points, and was assessed a flagrant foul when he hit Philadelphia's Spencer Hawes in the head going for a rebound. Hawes got in Anthony's face and a mini-scrum esnued that was broken up by the officials.
A brief Sixers rally after that cut the lead to nine, but New York (33-20) answered and held a big lead for most of the fourth quarter.
