(NEW YORK) -- A new trial has been ordered for a former Price Is Right model who claimed pregnancy discrimination and wrongful termination, and was awarded millions of dollars in punitive damages last year.
Brandi Cochran, who was a model on The Price Is Right for seven years, claimed in her 2010 lawsuit against the show's producers that co-workers insulted her while she was pregnant. She also alleged that producers rejected her when she tried to return to work in 2010 after maternity leave.
Cochran was awarded $7.7 million in punitive damages, and $775,000 in compensatory damages.
The office of Cochran's lawyer confirmed to ABC News Radio on Tuesday that a new trial has been ordered.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cochran's judgment has been erased because the jury did not receive full instructions on deciding a discrimination case, as stipulated by the California Supreme Court after her first trial.
A new trial date has not yet been set.
