David Lee Roth Shares Cover Of Marvin Gaye’s ‘Ain’t That Peculiar’

Former Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth recently released his cover version of Marvin Gaye‘s 1965 hit “Ain’t That Peculiar.”

The track is the ninth solo single shared by Roth in recent months.

“Ain’t That Peculiar,” written by Smokey Robinson, Bobby Rogers, Pete Moore and Marv Taplin, was originally released by Gaye in 1965. It topped the Billboard Hot R&B singles chart and peaked at No. 8 on the Hot 100.

Roth recorded his version of the song at Henson Studios in Los Angles, the same place where he recorded a set of Van Halen tracks, such as “You Really Got Me,” “Dance The Night Away,” “Panama,” “Everybody Wants Some!!” and “Ain’t Talkin’ Bout Love,” as well the recently released “Unchained.”
